In the mind of Mahmud (Dedy Sutomo), there is nothing more noble than sincerely struggling to implement Islamic commands kaffah in all aspects of life. Unfortunately, Mahmud's spirit was hurt when he heard the issue of the Isbat trial of the Ministry of Religion which cost nine billion to determine the new moon. This reality reminded him of the tradition of looking for the new moon that his pesantren used to do. Unfortunately his efforts were hindered by his children. They are worried about Mahmud's declining health. Mahmud insists on leaving.
